In 2021 the Liberty Hill community lost a man that made the world a better place by choosing to be that light in the darkness for so many. Casey Tolbert left a mark in the hearts and lives of many people, and he continues to do so through the Liberty Hill Fishing Team, which he helped establish. Casey had a passion for helping kids find a better path in life, and he had a strong drive to provide opportunities for them that they might not have otherwise had.

The Casey Tolbert Memorial Scholarship proudly supports all graduating high school seniors from the Liberty Hill community-whether you attend public school, private school, or are homeschooled. We especially encourage students who are choosing their own unique path after graduation, including technical or trade programs and other nontraditional routes to career success.

Applicants must plan to enroll in a college, university, or technical/trade program and use the scholarship funds for tuition, books, and/or housing expenses within two years of receiving the award. Wherever your journey leads, this scholarship is here to help you take the next step with confidence.

The Casey Tolbert Memorial Fishing Tournament hosted by The Liberty Hill Fishing Team will fund the scholarship and continue Casey’s legacy.
